In “Repose, Reprise: Self-Portraiture and Other Messages ” the artist presents their photographic works, writings, and other sketches to deliver a virtual book. Through images that depict fragility, surrealism, and vulnerable moments the artist intends to engage with each viewer incurring visceral response. The contents should speak to the fragility and triumph of coming of age, self-realization, and the development of artistry. This work should challenge the viewers own predispositions and indicate a reflexive look inward at their own self image and representation. It also aims to highlight a slur of complexities both seen and unseen throughout the journey of womanhood and coming of age.
